Installation: 2 screws is all it takes to hang a shelf. These screws have to go into the studs behind the drywall. You can use a stud finder or if your house is as old as mine, you can see the nail heads under the paint when the lighting is just right. Of course the other option is to keep drilling holes in a horizontal line until you hit the first stud. (the shelf will cover the holes) The shelves are predrilled at 16 inches apart to match the stud spacing in your wall. The screws are included with the shelf. Other shelves on the market require the screws to be inserted into the wall first, then the shelf is hung from them like a picture hangs from a peg. This approach makes it very difficult to get the shelf level. My design is to cut a slight angle along the edge that touches the wall. This 3° angle gives the shelf a slight up tilt. Rather than hanging the shelf from the screws, pocket holes have been drilled into the bottom of the shelves. This allows the screws to go through the shelf, into the stud. This approach will firmly clamp the shelf to your wall. The clamping method combined with the up tilt produces the beautiful look as shown in the pictures. Installation time once the first stud has been located is less than 2 minutes. |

Pricing: The shelves are $8 each and the door toppers $5. Personally I detest making purchases that include profit built into the shipping costs. Check the rates for 23”x12”x1” and 4lbs per piece from 27330. No handling or packaging fees. I can reuse boxes from our animal hospital. Payment is either via Paypal to my email address or you can mail me a check. Shipment will be within 3 days of receipt of payment. If for any reason you are not satisfied, returned product will be refunded plus the return shipping charges.

Door Toppers: Door toppers can be installed with a single nail hammered into the top of the door molding. The tray has a center hole that slips over the nail. The topper rests atop the molding. The nail simply keeps it from falling over. They ship with a clear coat over natural wood. You get to paint them however you like. Maybe have your children paint their names and some pictures to hang over their bedroom door. |
